Billing calendar & rules

Annual REALTOR® dues for the coming year are billed December 1 (auto-pay December 15) and due December 31.

NTREIS MLS is billed quarterly on March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1, due at month-end; Supra eKEY is billed on the same quarterly cycle.

Dues are prorated in your first year. Anyone joining December 1–31 who did not pay REALTOR® dues the prior year pays the prorated current year plus the full upcoming year at application.

MLS participants who miss a payment pay a $200 late fee.

Good to know

Collin County Area REALTORS® (CCAR) merged into MetroTex in July 2025 — Collin County is now MetroTex jurisdiction and the combined association (about 40,000 members) is the largest in Texas.

Principal affiliate members pay $234 per year plus a $40 application fee; additional affiliates $50 plus $10.

Texas REALTORS® lists more than one association for Tarrant (ARLINGTON BOARD OF REALTORS®, METROTEX ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® INC). Agents there choose the board whose MLS their business needs.

Service area as the board describes it: Dallas, Collin, Rockwall, Kaufman, Hunt, Van Zandt and parts of Tarrant County.

How much does it cost to join MetroTex?

MetroTex Association of REALTORS® publishes for 2026: $485 per year in dues (a single figure that already includes Texas REALTORS® and NAR); $100 in one-time application, orientation or setup fees; about $568 per year for MLS access; about $226.24 per year for the lockbox key service. That works out to roughly $1,379.24 for a first full year as a primary REALTOR® member. Dues are prorated by the month you join. Verified September 18, 2026.

What does a broker or LLC pay to open an office with MetroTex?

MetroTex lists designated realtor® application fee ($240), designated realtor® orientation fee ($60), ntreis broker participation fee (member) ($250), office setup fee (branch) ($100) — $650 in one-time fees — on top of the Designated REALTOR®'s own dues and MLS subscription. Every licensee sponsored by that office then joins as an individual member.

Which Texas counties does MetroTex cover?

Texas REALTORS® lists MetroTex Association of REALTORS® as the local association for Collin, Dallas, Hunt, Kaufman, Rockwall, Tarrant and Van Zandt counties. Tarrant County is also served by another association.

Can RaiderX-sponsored agents join MetroTex?

Yes. MetroTex Association of REALTORS® is one of the seven Texas boards where RaiderX holds broker membership, so a RaiderX-sponsored agent joins MetroTex directly as a REALTOR® member and MLS subscriber under RaiderX's sponsorship. You pay the board's dues and fees yourself — they are separate from RaiderX's flat monthly sponsorship fee — and the board, not RaiderX, handles MLS access, keys and billing.
