“Promulgated” forms are the standardized contracts and addenda the Texas Real Estate Commission requires licensees to use, word-for-word, for specific transaction types — TREC rule §537.11 governs exactly how they can (and can't) be modified. TXR forms, published by Texas REALTORS®, fill in the notices and addenda TREC doesn't promulgate. Forms are revised periodically, and using an outdated version can create real compliance problems, so this library always shows which revision is current and which has been superseded.
