How to fix, reopen, or cancel a deal

What you can change depends on where the CDA is. Before it’s submitted, the deal is yours to edit or cancel. Once it’s in review or signed, the deal locks and every change is a request the broker rules on.

The five steps

  1. 1

Before the CDA is submitted: edit it yourself

Open the deal → Edit Deal for a wrong price, commission or closing date. To cancel, set the status to Cancelled and save. An empty deal you created by mistake is cancelled the same way.

  2. 2

CDA in review: wait, or the broker sends it back

The deal is read-only except its status. If the broker requests changes, it unlocks for you to correct and resubmit.

  3. 3

CDA signed: use the Escalations tab

Choose the template that fits. Update deal info for a date or a detail. Request to reopen / unlock deal when the numbers have to change. Request to cancel deal when it fell through.

  4. 4

The broker rules with one click

Approved, Denied or Changes requested — shown on your ticket and sent by email and push. An approved reopen unlocks the deal immediately (the CDA goes back to Changes requested so you can edit and resubmit); an approved cancel cancels the deal and closes out its CDA and any open conditions.

  5. 5

Commission changed after signing? Amend the CDA

Use Request CDA Amendment in the deal header — for a commission increase or decrease, a split change, or anything else. The broker approves and re-signs before anything pays out differently.

Three things to know

Invoices are never cancelled automatically

An invoice already sent stays open. Ask for a void from the invoice with a reason and the broker approves it.

Past the closing date?

A deal that isn’t Closed or Cancelled after its closing date shows in Action required and gets reminders until you update it. From 14 days past closing you can’t start a new deal until it’s fixed.

Adding money after the lock

A new payable, receivable or referral fee after signing is added only by fulfilling a broker condition that requests it — ask through Escalations.
